London Broncos’ captain Will Lovell said the squad is ready for a “hard contest” when they travel to Widnes Vikings in the Betfred Championship on Sunday.
The Broncos are looking to build on the team’s home win against Dewsbury Rams to continue the club’s climb up the table.
But Lovell warned the squad will need to be ready for another tough match to secure two points.
He said: “We know Widnes will put up a good fight, so we need to be switched on.
“They are coming off the back of their match against Featherstone Rovers in the cup and from what we saw they put up a good fight. They have some dangerous players, like Jack Owen and Danny Craven and others who are strong for them.
“Their outside backs are really good at getting them on the front foot, so we need to be prepared for that.
“We are expecting another hard contest on Sunday and we are looking forward to that challenge ahead of us.”
Without a match last weekend, the Broncos took the opportunity to take respite while combining it with intensive training sessions.
“It has been a good week,” said Lovell.
“It was a chance to refresh and then work hard to prepare for this weekend with the coaching team.
“We have had a lot of good sessions with a focus on key areas for us.”
Josh Walters is the only injury concern for the Broncos after picking up a hamstring injury.
Kick-off is at 3pm on Sunday and supporters can watch the game live on Our League by purchasing a gameday pass here.
