London Broncos Captain Will Lovell has signed a 2 year deal with the Club and has become Head Coach Jermaine Coleman’s first signing for 2022.

Lovell, who has recently made the transition from Full Time Rugby League player to Teacher was delighted to have secured his immediate future with the Broncos.

He said “It’s an honour to represent the Broncos and I am really happy to have signed again for the next two years. I’ve got a young family now and I am really enjoying my new job so being able to also play Professional Rugby League completes everything for me.”

“Teaching is going really well and the School are actually really supportive of me, and having a Semi Pro Rugby player among the staff is something they seem really happy about.”

It is not the first time Will has worked with Jermaine Coleman and the popular Back Row is looking forward to linking up with his former Coach.

He added “It will be really good to work with Jermaine again. I know what he can bring to the Club and I want to help him take the club back into the right areas of the Championship table.”

“This is the season we move to Plough Lane and if we can get things right on the field this could be a really exciting season for Supporters so we will be working hard as a team to try and challenge the top end teams in the Championship as we get used to the reality of Part Time Rugby League as a group.”

As the first of several players to put pen to paper this week Lovell was upbeat about how the squad is coming together and is looking forward to getting together with his team-mates for Pre-Season in November.

“I have to admit that the idea of part time suggested to me, and others, that the quality of player we can attract may be a problem but I have been surprised by the level of players approaching the club and the names Jermaine is speaking to. The way the squad is shaping up suggests to me we will have a decent bunch of players come November ready to roll their sleeves up and give the supporters something to cheer about at Wimbledon next season.”

“I really hope they can give us the backing we have come to expect from them and in return we will give 100% for the shirt in this exciting new era.”
