With the Rugby League World Cup still in full swing and Summer Bash already being planned for, the new fixtures for the 2018 Championship have been announced.
With more strong teams than ever taking part next season every game promises to be an absolute slug fest between teams from, for the first time, two continents.
Leigh Centurions return to the Championship after their season in Super League while coming from League one we welcome Barrow Raiders, from Cumbria and the Transatlantic side of Toronto Wolfpack. Alongside teams like Featherstone Rovers, Halifax RLFC and Toulouse Olympique the Championship will be more hard fought than ever with everyone vying for those elusive top four Super 8 Qualifier positions.
Matches start, back at Trailfinders Sports Club, on the 4th of February with a home tie against Championship new boys Barrow Raiders.
February is a busy month with fixtures also at home to Featherstone Rovers before we round off the month with the visit of Toronto Wolfpack on Sunday the 25th, giving the side the chance to avenge the defeat in last year’s Challenge Cup.
Good Friday sees the visit of Toulouse Olympique for what promises to be an exciting holiday weekend.
Saturday June 9th will see London travel across the Atlantic to face Toronto Wolfpack for the first time on Canadian soil.
We round of the home season with the visit of last season’s fellow qualifiers Halifax on July 15th before rounding off the regular season with two away games at Featherstone Rovers and Barrow Raiders respectively.
