Adebiyi hungry for more first team action

Sadiq Adebiyi was one of three players to make their debut on Sunday having stepped up from the Broncos Under19s Academy, and having got the taste of first team action he wants more.

Adebiyi, 18, scored a try in the game and along with Ben Gray and Ben Pointer impressed head coach Andrew Henderson and the home supporters.

“I gave it my all out there,” said Adebiyi. “It’s quite different to the Under 19s Academy but I think I done well. Hendo spoke to us [the players on debut] and said he thought we played well.

“I was pleased to score, I wasn’t expecting it but when I scored the boys all ran over and hugged me and cheered me on.

“The team spirit has been good at training. Before the game Hendo and the other first team players talked to me and the other guys and helped us out, and all the boys were really helpful.

“I always hoped to get a shot at the first team but I didn’t know if it would come. My mind is just set on training hard this week and playing again this season.”
