In a historic day for rugby league in the south, London Broncos, London Skolars, London Chargers, and Wests Warriors will all play at New River Stadium on Saturday 28 January in the London clash.
Featuring two Challenge Cup matches (Chargers and Wests Warriors), as well as the annual London clash between the Broncos and Skolars, the day marks a huge milestone in the progress of growing the game in capital, and one which head coach, Andrew Henderson, is thrilled to be a part of.
“It’s an exciting day for rugby league down south, and London Skolars have to be commended for hosting this festival of rugby league. I think it very clearly demonstrates that there truly are good things going on in London, and that all four clubs are committed to working together, and working hard for the benefit of the game.
“At the end of the day, we all share the same goal – we want to see rugby league succeed in London.
“I’d encourage not just rugby league fans, but sports fans in general to get behind this day – it’ll be a fantastic festival of rugby league, a great day out, and such an important moment in this great game’s history to be part of.
“We will be sending a stronger squad to New River this year; it will feature a lot of first team boys, but will also include some exciting under 19s players – who showed up well recently against the British Army. I’m sure it will be a high quality competitive game that both teams will benefit from.
“We are all looking forward to playing our part in what will be a memorable day for rugby league down south. We’re immensely proud to be a part of the day, both as a club and as a city.”
A ticket to all three games is only £10, and available here.
