London Broncos overcame a 18-6 half time deficit to beat Batley Bulldogs 28-22 on Wednesday evening at The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium.
The Broncos didn’t get on to the scoreboard until the 33rd minute when Erjon Dollapi crashed over, by that time Batley had already scored two of their own and scored again after Dollapi’s effort to lead 18-6 at half time.
The Broncos turned the game on it’s head in the second half when first Ben Hellewell scored 42 minutes, followed by Matt Garside’s try on 45 minutes. Further tries came from Tom Gilmore (50) and Iliess Macani (62). Wes Naiqama converting four of five attempt on the night. Although Batley scored again on the 68th minute the Broncos defended well in the closing stages to claim the vital win.
