International rugby league returns to the capital this weekend at London’s Olympic Park. This is fantastic for rugby league down south, and the Broncos are willing to jump on board and support the event.
England host New Zealand in game 2 of a 3 game international test series on Saturday 7th November, 2.30pm kick off time. England lead the series 1-0 after a solid performance at Hull on Sunday, overcoming a slow start going 10-0 down early to eventually win 26-12.
It was sweet revenge for the English after losing the World Cup semi final in dramatic fashion 2 years ago to New Zealand at Wembley when the two sides last met.
London Broncos CEO Jason Loubser and Commercial Manager Tom Williams saw this as a fantastic opportunity for the Broncos to lend their support.
“The RFL have put a lot of hard work into this event and have planned a lot of activity throughout the day, so we felt it was a great opportunity for the London Broncos to lend our support.” Said CEO Jason Loubser.
Broncos players including new signing Nathan Stapleton along with Head Coach Andrew Henderson will be in attendance at the Fanzone throughout the day, which opens at 11am and closes at 6pm. The Fanzone will be closed throughout the duration of the match.
Commercial Manager Tom Williams added. “When we heard the game was to be held at the Olympic Park in London we approached the RFL to see if they would like us to support them. We wanted to do this to not only support the game and day as a whole but we felt it would be a great opportunity to get our brand out there and show people that rugby league has a presence in London.”
Make sure you get across to the Fanzone on the day and see the boys, and if your not there tune into BBC 5 Live sports extra for full commentary of the match featuring our Head Coach Andrew Henderson as guest summeriser.
