Broncos commit to new talent.

London Broncos are demonstrating their commitment to local talent with the announcement of an exciting new role in the youth performance department.

The Talent and Performance Officer will work alongside the Head of Youth Performance specifically identifying and recruiting local talent, developing local partnerships with schools and clubs and adding value to the Academy set up.

The club currently boasts over 70 players within their U19 and U16 programmes and are committed to bringing through even more young talent from the Capital especially within the outlying areas around Trailfinders Sports club in Ealing.

The Community Broncos programme will also work in conjunction with the youth development programme by taking the sport of Rugby League in to not only primary schools but also into secondary schools throughout the Borough of Ealing.

The role will seek to bridge gaps both on a sporting and academic basis while also highlighting talented athletes from other sports who have the potential to move into Rugby League.

Head of Youth Development, Rob Powell, told us, “This is an exciting role for someone to work in performance and an important step forward for the club. It will provide us with an opportunity to further develop new talent and the partnership work will help strengthen our footprint within the local and London Community as a whole.”
