The London Broncos will hold a trial for the club’s Scholarship programme on Sunday 27 November, at Trailfinders Sports Club.
The Scholarship forms part of the wider Academy (including the Under 19s – year 12/13/14-), and is the first rung on the ladder in becoming a professional rugby league player. There are weekly sessions at Trailfinders Sports Club on Wednesdays, which include field based sessions and gym sessions at our first class facility, also shared with the first team.
The trial is open to any players in years 10 or 11 at school and for both players currently playing community club rugby league and those who are not, and will commence at 15:00, with registration at 14:45.
A number of players from the 2016 Hard Rock Cafe London London League Origin Series have been selected to train in the programme already, but any Origin players who have not been offered the opportunity to train in the programme are also welcome to trial.
The Scholarship play 10 games against Super League opposition between February and August, and London’s overall programme received a rating of GOOD by the RFL external auditors in 2016.
Those wishing to trial must contact Rob Powell on [email protected] in order to request a registration/parent consent form. Players will NOT be able to trial if they have not completed the registration form before the day.
