Broncos sign dual registration deal with Widnes Vikings

London Broncos have signed a dual registration agreement with First Utility Super League side Widnes Vikings.

The Broncos have already benefited from the loan of a Vikings player this season in half-back Tom Gilmore and head coach Andrew Henderson is keen to utilise the dual registration system with the Super League side.

Henderson said: “We’ve used the loan system in previous weeks with Tom Gilmore coming to join us and in that time I’ve built up a good relationship with Denis Betts and Brett Hodgson at Widnes. We were keen to enter a more formal agreement with the club and enter into a dual registration with them.

“It’s great that the Widnes club are happy to work with us and hopefully in the future we we can utilise the system further.”

Widnes Vikings head coach Denis Betts said: “We have chosen London Broncos because Tom Gilmore has been really successful down there. We are in dialogue with their coaching staff on a regular basis.

“We will use this agreement to get players who are not getting game time into playing regular rugby.”
