Broncos spread the word in Bushey

London Broncos have recently begun a coaching programme in both primary and secondary schools in and around Bushey in Hertfordshire.

The idea of the project is to raise awareness that the Broncos are now based in the area, with their training ground at Bushey Sports Club, as well as looking for the next generation of rugby league players.

John Keyes, Player Welfare Manager at London Broncos, has led the sessions and has been assisted by a number of first team players, Keyes said: “It has been really good to get the players involved. It seems to raise the level of interest when the young people find out that there are real players involved in the coaching.”

Helen Hopkins, Community Sports Officer at Hertsmere Council said: “Hertsmere Borough Council are excited to be working in partnership with London Broncos who are providing high quality coaching in schools in Bushey.

“The club’s work has been praised by all involved and we are looking forward to working together for many years to come. Well done and thank you to the Broncos team.”
