London Broncos Rugby League is pleased to announce the signing of forward Jack Bussey from Featherstone Rovers on a two-year contract.
The 22 year old who began his career with Featherstone has gone on to make 69 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2012, scoring eleven tries.
Commenting on his move to the capital, Jack Bussey said “I’m really pleased to be joining the London Broncos. To be able to join a full-time club is something that really appealed to me as I look to improve on the field.”
“To be able to play sport as a full-time professional is something I have thought about for a long time, however to be able to do that in London is an opportunity that I could not turn down.”
“Andrew Henderson is building something really special with the Broncos and he really sold the club to me as one that is moving forward. Andrew is really enthusiastic about the club and it’s easy to see why, the move to Ealing and Trailfinders is a huge boost for the club.”
“I was lucky enough to have a few good games against the Broncos this season, but that only whetted my appetite to sign with the club. Andrew is building a strong squad and I’m looking forward to helping the club move forward during my time here.”
Bussey appeared for Featherstone Rovers in three of the four clashes against London Broncos in 2015 and his performances caught the eye of head coach, Andrew Henderson “I’m really pleased to have signed a quality young player in Jack Bussey, he will certainly add some punch and power going forward for us. I really look forward to seeing him develop with our pack over the next two seasons.”
“Jack is a really exciting player and those that made the trips to Featherstone and Widnes at the end of the season will not only remember him but I’m certain will be looking forward to seeing him pull on a Broncos shirt.”
Jack Bussey is the latest club signing for 2016, joining Scott Leatherbarrow, Mark Offerdahl, Andy Ackers, Alex Foster, Eddie Battye and Nathan Stapleton.
