Dewsbury Rams overcame the sending off of Ryan Fieldhouse after 21 minutes to secure a 24-12 win over the London Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams opened up a 12-0 lead thanks to a brace of tries from Karl Pryce (6,15) both converted by Brett Seymour. London got a try on the board thanks to captain Wes Naiqama after 15 mins, Naiqama converting his own try before Ryan Fieldhouse saw red for a high shot on William Barthau.
With the scores locked at 12-6 Elliot Kear and Dewsbury’s Stephen Nash were sin-binned for fighting. A further Dewsbury try five minutes from half time by Nathan Conroy put the Rams 18-6.
London’s chances were limited in the second half and they were further hampered by the sin-binning of Elliot Minchella. They did score through Oscar Thomas (59), converted by Wes Naiqama gave the Broncos some hope but a total of three penalty conversions by Brett Seymour ensured the win for Dewsbury.
