There are many highlights throughout the season but three stand out above the rest.
Sunday 30th May sees the Broncos travel, for the first time, to Stade Ernest Wallon, as we face Toulouse in an historic double header at their new home that they will share with the Toulouse Rugby Union side. The game will kick off at 3.30pm as this will a part of what a lot are calling “Magique Weekend” as Catalans Dragons will take on Leeds Rhinos on the same day in the same venue. The stadium which holds 19,000 gives rugby league a chance to show what expansion clubs can bring to the table and is very exciting for all four clubs involved.
On Sunday 19th of July London Broncos will play host to York City Knights at Trailfinders as part of the London Challenge Cup weekend. With London Skolars playing their annual pre- Challenge Cup Final game on the Friday night Broncos will round off the weekend at their Ealing Ground. Playing on the Sunday will give anyone coming to the Final the chance to stay overnight in the Capital and watch the Broncos versus the Knights at 1pm giving them the chance then to make their return trip north in plenty of time.
The Third highlight sees the Broncos in another Double Header against Toulouse on Friday August 7th as we travel North to Emerald Headingley stadium to play our round 23 game. With Toulouse in the Capital on Good Friday and the Broncos in Toulouse on May 30th a neutral venue has been found so as not to give anyone home advantage twice in one season and what a venue it is. Headingley was the scene, last season, of London’s victory in the last minutes against Leeds Rhinos in Super League and fans will no doubt be wanting to see another Broncos win in August.
The Broncos start the season with a tough trip to the Tetleys Stadium to face the Bradford Bulls in what promises to be a mouth watering opening to the 2020 season. The Capital side will not, however, be taking part in the 1895 Cup in the 2020 season.
