Foster returns to the capital…

Alex Foster is Head Coach Andrew Henderson’s latest addition to the 2016 squad.

Foster 22, joined Featherstone Rovers for the 2015 season and was part of their recent Championship Shield Final winning team. He previously spent a season long loan from Leeds Rhinos with the Broncos during the 2014 Super League season, in which he made 20 appearances for the London club. He joins the club on a one year deal.

Foster said,
‘ I’m very pleased to be back with London and training full-time again. I spoke with Hendo a few times and he seemed very personable, easy to talk to and clear on what he wanted. He was very professional and enthusiastic to develop me as a player so I’m looking forward to learning from him and improving areas of my game.’
‘The ambition of the club was key to me re-joining, with the club having a desire to return to Super League. I think the move to Ealing and the 3G pitch is a positive and could prove an advantage early in the Championship season, allowing us to play a faster more exciting brand of rugby.’ He added.
‘On a personal note I’m looking to improve as a player, cement my spot in the team as well as making a position my own. I want to be part of helping London achieve some success.’

Henderson added.
‘Once I had spoken to Alex and knew he was available I didn’t hesitate to snap him up. From what I have seen of him, feedback I’ve received and after talking to him I knew he ticked a number of the boxes I look for in a player. He is honest, humble, tough, a team player, and has a genuine desire to be a better player and better person. It was important that we got someone in to replace Jason Walton who we let go recently, and Alex was an ideal replacement.’
Henderson further went on to say.
‘Alex is a quality player who further strengthens our squad. He has the ability to play in the back row, loose forward and centre positions equally well, however I see him pushing for a place in the back row. I look forward to see what Alex will bring to the team.’
