FUTURE BRONCOS IMPRESS IN FINALS FOOTBALL

On Sunday Wes Niaqama helped Penrith Panthers to a 48-12 defeat of Newcastle Knights in the VB NSW Cu. Niaqama, who will join the Broncos on a two-year deal for 2015, kicked seven conversions from seven attempts and had a try disallowed in a dominant performance for the Panthers.

Last weekend Daniel Harrison played his first NRL game of the season for Manly Sea Eagles. They went down to Canterbury Bulldogs in an 18-17 golden point thriller in the NRL semi-finals. Harrison, who played in the second row, started the game and will join the Broncos on a two-year deal.

Liam Foran’s Wentworthville side, a feeder club to Parramatta Eels, were knocked out of the competition by Penrith Panthers. Foran joins the club on a two-year deal having previously spend time in the UK with Salford in 2013.

Closer to home Matt Garside scooped the Players’ Player award at Sheffield Eagles and could still appear in the Kingstone Press Championship Grand Final should Sheffield defeat Featherstone Rovers this evening (Sunday). Garside will join the club on a two-year deal.
