Goodwin’s U16s squad for re-arranged Wakefield encounter

Huw Goodwin’s unbeaten scholarship side travel to Belle Vue on Saturday, playing Wakefield Trinity after the original fixture on 4 March was postponed.

Having defeated Cumbria 74-0 and Salford 4-12 earlier in the season, the young side are looking to build on their strong start to 2017.

“It’s another squad that includes players representing the club for the first time. They’ve certainly earned their place and I am keen to see them apply themselves in the correct manner on Saturday,” commented Goodwin.

“It was a shame that this fixture was called off earlier this month, but credit to all those behind the scenes to get it re-organised. It has given us a few more weeks to build on what we learnt from our two earlier fixtures and the boys are certainly excited and raring to go again.”
