Henderson wants to see fans embrace Heritage Day

London Broncos head coach and player Andrew Henderson hopes to see old and new fans embrace the club’s Heritage Day at The Hive on Sunday.

“It’s great to have a Heritage Day at The Hive and I’m sure there’s going to be some old fans out for this game in different jerseys from our past,” said Henderson ahead of Sunday’s Heritage Day.

“I’m massive on tradition and history and although we’re only a young club in terms of rugby league we do still have some history behind us.

“The Broncos haven’t had huge successes in the past within the club’s short lifespan but we still have had some good days like the 1999 Challenge Cup Final and the Second Division trophy in 1983. So there has been part of the journey of the club where we’ve had some success and we need to remember those times.”

“Part of my vision for the club moving forward is that I want to bring the club together so we have a one-club, one-feel, and have something we’re proud of.”
