Henderson: We’re moving in the right direction

Interim head coach Andrew Henderson says his side is moving in the right direction following Sunday’s 34-16 win in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Henderson oversaw the Broncos win over Workington Town at The Hive on Sunday. The win for the Broncos means it’s the first time since March of the 2012 season that the Broncos have won two consecutive league games at home. The Broncos are unbeaten in two games at home but have struggled with the two games away from home.

“We’re going to have to take things a step at a time and just build it, build it, build it,” said Henderson. “I’m confident that the team will find itself in the coming weeks and we’ll continue to move forward in the right direction.”

Asked if he thought that the Workington game was a must win game, Henderson said:

“They are all must wins aren’t they? At the end of the day you prepare to win and that’s it. I guess there’s an expectation that we should be winning games like this, we are the full time side.”

Broncos travel to Cumbria this Sunday (March 15th, kick-off 3pm) to face Whitehaven looking to make it three wins from five league games.
