Henderson’s side to take on Huddersfield

The London Broncos Super 8s campaign resumes this week, facing the second of four Super League sides in Huddersfield Giants on Friday night.

Fresh from a week off playing, head coach, Andrew Henderson has been impressed with his side’s start to the 8s, and says they have prepared well for the challenge ahead.

“The way we competed in our previous Super 8s games against Leeds and against Leigh clearly showed our ability as a side. Both of those teams are Super League quality in my opinion, and credit to this squad, they didn’t look out of place against them.

“We’ve had a pretty decent start to the 8s – we put 70 points on Batley, and produced two pretty big comebacks against the Rhinos and Centurions.

“It has been two years since we last played Huddersfield – they’ve got a strong squad, and it’ll be a big 80 minutes, we know that. We’ve had a week off playing, and have worked hard both mentally and physically to prepare.

“We’re still in the race for promotion, and as a side, we’ve got a lot of belief in ourselves. If we play on Friday night with the commitment and attitude we have shown and execute a little better, then we’re a chance for those two points.”
