London Broncos will be without Mark Ioane for the next two matches against Hull KR and Sheffield, after the prop received a two game ban from the RFL Disciplinary on Wednesday night.
Ioane was charged with a Grade C dangerous tackle on Kalausa Leha in the 77th minute of the London Broncos clash with Toulouse Olympique at Stade Ernest Argeles on Saturday 17 June.
Ioane pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was handed a two match ban and £100 fine by the tribunal.
“I’m obviously disappointed in the decision, and in the outcome. There was no malice at all in that tackle, nor the intention to harm Leha,” commented Ioane.
“As I said, I’m disappointed to be missing two games at this pivotal point in the season, but as a club, we move on, and we concentrate on the boys hopefully pushing Hull KR all the way this weekend.”
