London Broncos Centre, Kam Pearce-Paul, has gone out on loan to Coventry Bears for a months duration. The London Academy product will be joining the Bears with immediate effect.
London, who currently sit top of the Championship table are looking to give the young Londoner game time and see Coventry as a perfect fit.
Pearce-Paul had a previous successful loan period, towards the end of last season, at Oldham Roughyeds and gained some valuable experience whilst at the North West club.
Kam said, ” I am really looking forward to it. Coventry are a good side and I cant wait to get back playing again. Everything I do I try to do my best and this loan move gives me another opportunity to get some valuable experience under my belt. If I play well for Coventry, which is my intention, then hopefully I can fight to get back into the first team in London.”
Head Coach, Danny Ward, commented, “Due to the depth of our outside backs, Kam has found his opportunities limited this season with the Broncos. This is a great opportunity for him to get regular game time and continue the progress he has been making.”
Coventry Bears Head Coach, Tom Tsang, told us,”Bringing Kam in solves a couple of problems for us as we have suffered a few injuries to key players in recent games. We have players who can cover a number of positions similar to Kam so it gives us flexibility in finding the best combinations. He is in good physical condition coming from a very professional environment at London – he will give us a bit more size in the backline and his experience will also be a good thing for our younger players in the squad.”
Pearce-Paul is in line to make his Coventry debut in the Challenge Cup match against Pilkington Recs this Sunday.
