London Broncos are delighted to announce the re-signing of Will Lovell on a new 2-year contract keeping him at the club until the end of the 2020 season.
Lovell, who broke back into the squad at the start of the season, was an ever-present in the side that started 2018 in such an explosive fashion.
Injury has curtailed his season slightly but he is hoping to be back and fighting fit should London make the Super 8’s Qualifiers.
Will spoke to us and said, ” I’m really happy to have re-signed for London again. The club has been a big part of my life growing up and so the decision was an easy one when Danny Ward spoke to me. I’ve really enjoyed playing this year and cannot wait to get back out there in time for the next competition whether that be the shield or the Super 8’s. I really want to help the club back to where I believe they belong and that is in the Super League. I would like to thank my family and all the London Broncos staff and supporters for their ongoing support.”
Head Coach Danny Ward said, “We are really pleased to have Will commit two more years to London Broncos. A product of the Broncos Academy, Will is a popular member of the club and a very good professional. He is a decent size human being who was consistently performing well for the team before picking up his recent injury. Not only a squad member, Will is a valued part of our community team who are doing some fantastic work in the local schools.”
Chairman, David Hughes told us, ” I am pleased that Will has committed his next two years to us here at the Broncos. He has been with us for many years on and off and is yet another product of the London Academy programme. He brings something different to the team with his size and pace.”
