On Sunday 17th November, London Broncos will be hosting the “Harvey Burnett North v South” rugby league game at Trailfinders Sports Club to help former Bronco, Harvey Burnett, to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Harvey, one of our former first team players, has been diagnosed with cancer and is now fighting the disease under the care of the Royal Marsden Hospital. He has made it his goal to raise as much money for the charity as possible while helping to raise the spirits not only of himself but those of so many others under their care.
Harvey started as a junior for the Elmbridge Eagles in Surrey and was in the London Broncos Academy system from 2013 until he made his début for London Broncos against the Leigh Centurions in the Challenge Cup in 2015.
During his career Harvey also spent time with London Skolars, Oxford Blues, Bradford Bulls and Dewsbury Rams as well as representing Scotland at U19s, Nines and as a full international.
Kick off for this special game will be at 3.30pm and Harvey would love to invite all the fans from all the clubs he has played for in the aim of raising as much money as possible.
Teams for the North vs South match are being put together as we speak and will be announced over the next couple of weeks.
The cost of entrance will be a donation at the gate with an auction of signed memorabilia after the game and we would like to encourage as many fans to the game as can make it.
We will be looking to get sponsors for the jerseys too which will be auctioned off after the game and if anyone is interested in helping this great cause by sponsoring a shirt please contact Chris Baxter on this email :- [email protected]
Those of you who cannot make the game but would love to donate to Harvey’s just giving page please click on the link below to give whatever amount you wish.
