Lovegrove wants to keep the winning run going

London Broncos forward Rhys Lovegrove says the team want to keep their winning run going as they look to make it five from five at The Hive this Sunday.

The Broncos face Dewsbury Rams on Sunday (kick-off 3pm) and will be looking to leapfrog the Rams in the Kingstone Press table with both sides sitting on 10 points.

“It’ll be good to be back at home, it’s turning into a bit of a fortress,” said Lovegrove. “We’ve had four good wins on the bounce and it’ll be nice to keep that going.

“Dewsbury are a good team and they taught us a lesson in pre-season, they really showed us how hard and tough this competition would be so we’re in no doubt it’ll be a tough and physical encounter and we’re looking forward to it.”

The Broncos moved up to fourth in the table after wins over Featherstone and Batley over the Easter period but find themselves in sixth behind Dewbury and Halifax who are also on 10 points after the loss to Bradford Bulls.

“We’ve worked hard over the past four or five weeks to get back towards the top of the table and we’d like to keep the ball rolling.

Lovegrove also heaped praise on the faithful London Broncos supporters saying:

“The support is surprising coming from the outside and looking in, I was really quite surprised at how passionate the supporters are, even travelling away to places like Whitehaven and they are all there in numbers and it’s outstanding.”
