Mathers calls on Broncos support

London Broncos Rugby League co-captain Richard Mathers has called upon the loyal Broncos fans and newcomers to the game to get behind the team this season.

“I’m really looking forward to playing at The Hive against Doncaster on Sunday, I think the players are ready, the club is ready. It’s the start of a new era and hopefully we’ll start on the right note,” Mathers told Broncos TV as Tuesday’s Kingstone Press Championship launch in Manchester.

“If you’ve never seen a rugby league game live it’s time to see one. Everybody who I’ve taken to see a game when they’ve never seen one before is instantly sold.”

Mathers says the club have worked tirelessly to be ready for the new season and encourages the loyal Broncos fans to help build the support at The Hive.

“For Broncos fans, the loyal Broncos fans that we’ve got, I think some have fallen by the wayside a little bit, the club since I’ve been down here in November have worked tirelessly on and off the field to be ready for the start of the new era. The club and the playing side has gone really smoothly and we’ve trained really hard and it would be fantastic if we can get as much support there as possible as we’re intending it to be a great year and it would be fantastic if we could have a great crowd every other week at the Hive.”
