Having made his full league debut on Sunday against Doncaster, Sean Morris says he’ll continue to work hard to get another chance in the first team.
Morris, 26, has starred for Oxford this season on dual registration, the club he left to join the Broncos on a one-year full-time deal. The full-back or wing previously played two trial games for the Broncos at the start of the 2014 season while on trial.
“To be 18th or 19th man for a number of weeks and being involved in the warm ups it’s really nice to get on he field and get to play,” said Morris after starting the game at full-back.
“I’ve been training hard and waiting for a chance to come into the team. I always felt it was going to come, it was a matter of when rather than if I got an opportunity.
“I really enjoyed it, I found myself feeling rather unfit as I’ve not been playing matches for a while. I felt a bit of the pace in terms of fitness but I enjoyed myself.”
“On the back of two other games in the seven day period it took us a little while to get going, but once we got in the arm wrestle and we stopped making mistakes and giving away penalties and we started completing sets our class showed and we pulled away.
“I’ll do more of the same in training in the hope of getting another shot in the first team.”
This Sunday the Broncos face Hunslet Hawks at The Hive, which is the club’s Heritage Day.
