Naiqama: Goal is to win the Championship Shield

London Broncos captain Wes Naiqama says the goal for the squad is to win the Kingstone Press Championship Shield after missing out on a top four spot.

“It was disappointing to miss out on the top for but we’re reassessed our goals and we are aiming to win the Championship Shield now,” said Naiqama.

“Andrew Henderson challenged us last week to get a reaction from the last couple of week’s performances and we done well for large parts of the Sheffield game last Sunday. For 70 minutes we were good and we were just unlucky in the end but we can build on that going into the Super 8s.

“Getting to the final means everything to us, our goal is to do something with this group of players and we know we’re good enough.

“We’ve had a couple of days off this week and we’ve cleared our heads and we’re fresh and ready to go into the Super 8s.”
