London Broncos is delighted to announce the signing of former Academy product Jordan Williams from their Capital neighbours, London Skolars.
Williams comes back to London having impressed in League One and joins the ranks of the Broncos alongside former Academy teammate Touyo Egodo.
The back rower left the Broncos having gone through the Academy and like Will Lovell did, has gone on to become a more experienced player whilst playing at Skolars. Williams is now happy to have been given the opportunity to return to the Broncos.
The 22 year old made 21 starts for the North London side in 2019 scoring 11 tries in the process.
Williams said, “I am honoured to be a part of the London Broncos First Team squad this year, having come up through the Academy youth system a few years back. I am very excited to dig in with the boys this pre-season and the 2020 playing season in order to help the club achieve the goal of returning to the Super League.”
“Having spoken to Danny Ward during the off season, I am grateful for the opportunity he has given me and am eagerly anticipating what we can do in this coming year.”
“I would also like to thank Jermaine Coleman and the London Skolars for my time at the club over the past three years. They have been great and provided me with the support that has been vital to my development as a player.”
Head Coach Danny Ward told us, “We are very pleased to have Jordan back at the club, having previously come through our academy system. If we’d of had a reserves side at the time we would of kept Jordan at the Broncos. He has gone away to Skolars, worked hard and been one of their most consistent performers over the last 2 years.”
Chairman David Hughes commented, “Jordan is one of those players who has gone away and returned a better player. We have watched him while he has been at Skolars and have seen a talent that we feel will fit back into our setup perfectly. Alongside the more experienced back row forwards we have at the club I am sure Jordan will go from strength to strength.”
