London Broncos is delighted to announce the signing of Featherstone Rovers second rower Josh Walters on a 2 year deal.
Walters signs off of the back of a very impressive 2019 campaign with Rovers which saw them get to the Championship play off final against Toronto Wolfpack.
Walters switched codes when he joined Leeds Rhinos from Yorkshire Carnegie in 2013 and made his Super League debut in 2014 against Huddersfield Giants.
The 24 year old, Guildford born player played 61 times for the Rhinos scoring the winning try in the 2015 Grand Final.
He signed for Featherstone Rovers at the end of the 2018 season having played for them on dual registration throughout his time at Leeds Rhinos.
Walters told us, “I am really thankful to have had the opportunity to represent Featherstone Rovers this season. I am massively proud of what we achieved as a group and grateful that’s it’s landed me the opportunity to sign for the London Broncos.”
“Now I am very much looking forward to getting stuck in to pre season and having a big 2020 and beyond and hopefully getting the club back to where it belongs in Super League.”
