Pre-season Friendlies announced for 2018

London Broncos can today let the fans of the club know the schedule for pre-season friendlies in the New Year.

With our ground share arrangement with Ealing Trailfinders to be taken into consideration, and their schedule continuing through the winter, the First Team will be playing two friendlies both away from Home on the 21st and 26th of January 2018.

The Broncos will also be sending an Academy U19 team to play at London Skolars on 27th January.

The first, sees us travel to the Keepmoat Stadium, the home of Doncaster RLFC, where we will be kicking off at 3pm, on January 21st, against the League One Side. Doncaster finished 6th in League One in the 2017 season and will be looking to push on again in the season ahead.

The following week we travel to the North of England again when we play away at newly promoted Hull Kingston Rovers. This game will take place under the lights on Friday 26th January at 7.30pm at the KCom Stadium.

Having secured their return to the Super League, at the first time of asking, Hull KR will be setting their sights on at least not playing in the Qualifiers next year and this will be a good test for both teams.

New Head Coach, Danny Ward,  said, “I would like to give a big thanks to all at Doncaster and Hull Kingston Rovers for hosting us in our pre-season friendlies.”

“We have chosen these games so we can hit the road and get the boys back used to travelling for away games as we do every other week in the championship.”

“These teams will provide two very solid hit outs in prep for the new season and we’re really looking forward to them. We will get chance to see all of our 1st team squad in action and also give some young London lads the opportunity to step up from academy after impressing so far in pre-season.”

“The Skolars game will give our Academy side a chance to play against a good solid opposition as they start their season too.”

“We feel testing ourselves agsainst Super League opposition the week before our opening league fixture will be the best preperation for the season ahead.”

Tickets for the pre-season friendlies can be bought direct from the Doncaster RLFC, Hull KR and London Skolars websites.
