London Broncos forward Glenn Riley is looking for a spot in the Kingstone Press Championship Shield Final after a nightmare start to the season with injury.
Ankle injuries kept Riley on the sidelines until the end of June when he made his debut off the bench in the game against Halifax, he’s since gone on to make four appearances in the side.
“I obviously had quite a lengthy time out with two ankle operations but I’ve been chomping at the bit to get back out there,” said Riley.
“I’ve played four games and I’m enjoying it even though the results haven’t been going our way. I just need to keep playing the way I am and doing all I can to help the team.
“The main thing is focusing on my own game first and doing what I can and then helping everyone around me to bring us all back together and try and get back to winning ways.”
As the Broncos prepare for the Kingstone Press Championship Shield in the Super 8s stage of the competition, which begins on the second weekend of August, Riley and his team mates are fully focused on the task ahead of reaching .
“The season is far from over and we’ve still got a lot to play for, there’s still a semi-final and shield final to play for. The team is very positive at the moment and we know as a team we have a lot to do and improve and hopefully we can be in that final at the start of October.”
The Broncos final game of the regular season before the Super 8s takes place at home against Sheffield Eagles this Sunday 26th July, kick-off 3pm.
