Rugby league and the London Broncos keeping busy even in the down time !

With such an unbelievable season behind us and the prospects of an incredible season ahead in 2019 the spirit and moral of the team is riding high during what is a relaxing time of reflection.

A brilliant announcement today regarding signing the very talented Matty Fozard making a positive addition to the team, Matty brings with him masses of experience from his time with the Sheffield eagles amongst other things, the enthusiasm and energy oozing from a young player like him is a great addition, I look forward to seeing some good stuff from him in the coming season and would like to be among the first to congratulate him and welcome him on board the Bronco train.
I was so pleased for him when I read that he had actually been signed even before the awesome win in Toronto which launched the Broncos back into Super League, what a result for him ! I mean what a result for all of us, but seriously, one minute you’re signing for a club and the next minute you’re going to be playing in Super League !

Just need to mention once more that season ticket holders can renew up until the the 1st November at last seasons prices, which is a cracking deal as you are now coming to watch Super League games, I know I mentioned it in last week sarticle but if I remind just a couple of fans that can then save a few quid then so much the better.

In a couple of weeks at the Golden Boot Dinner three Rugby legends will be inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame, Andy Gregory, Derek Turner and Johnny Whitley MBE will join this hallowed club of rugby league fame.
The stringent rules to qualify for membership are quite onerous and reflect the massive achievements of these three latest recipients, these include outstanding achievement at the highest levels of the game, a reputation that is greater than the era they played in and to have made a contribution that will last as long as the game of rugby league does, that’s incredible when you think about it, given that the game of rugby is set to be here forever I would think, not sure I would like the task of picking a worthy recipient as there are so many fantastic retired players, it would be a difficult job I’m sure.
If any of you fancy a going along for this auspicious occasion then tickets are available at a reasonable £40 each or £650 for a VIP table of 10.

I suppose the next thing to mention is the super cool looking new kit for the 2019 season, judging by the fan comments on Twitter it’s a pretty popular look and my own view is that it reflects the new super league status of the team well, love it and going to be getting mine and Henry’s right away, in fact to echo one fan, Ben Aitken @baitken26 “awesome stuff ! Take my money… bring on the season and the release of this stuff”
Get ready @BuyKit there’s going to be a rush !

Yours in sport
