London Broncos have today signed Hooker Jordan Johnstone from Widnes Vikings on a one month loan.
Johnstone is regarded as one of the Vikings most exciting young prospects and has played 23 games for the club while also enjoying an outstanding 2017 season.
The 20 year old will bring some more SuperLeague experience in to the London Broncos Squad and will also potentially give him the game time he isn’t currently getting at the Vikings.
Broncos Head Coach Danny Ward told us, ” It’s great to be adding to the talented squad we already have here at the Broncos. Jordan brings with him that SuperLeague experience and we hope to give him as much game time as we can during the month he is here with us in the capital. We have some talented players coming through the ranks from our Academy but bringing Jordan in gives us a chance to look after the young lads in the way that we feel is necessary.”
From the other side of the loan deal, Widnes Head Coach Dennis Betts said, “Jordan needs to play regularly at this stage in his career. We have a number of options at the moment in his position, so this is a great opportunity for him. I know that London have seen the benefits of taking someone of his abilities and experience on, so hopefully this will be a great opportunity for all parties.”
While here in London Johnstone will wear the number 28.
