Following the win over Doncaster RLFC Ward has rung the changes and given a chance for everyone in the squad to show where they are before the season kicks off on February 4th.
With the Academy side playing against London Skolars on the 27th January some of those involved at Doncaster will now drop down to the U19’s.
Jamaican International, Jacob Ogden, comes in from the start as do Will Lovell, James Meadows and Ben Hellewell. Sam Davis is drafted in from the Academy and will wear the number 29 shirt while Fleming, Dixon and Pewhairangi all move to the bench to give some strength in depth.
Ward said, “We are really looking forward to our last pre-season friendly and the challenge of playing a quality Super League side like Hull KR.This will give us a last look at all players in the entire squad ahead of our first competitive fixture next week against Barrow.”
“We are taking 22 players up to Hull and without doubt they are all in the frame for claiming a shirt for round one including younger players like Jimmy Meadows and Jake Ogden who have kept their place in the squad after impressing so far and we have also added Sam Davis, Matt Davis’ brother, to the squad.”
“Hopefully the step up in competition will bring the best out of the boys and prepare them well for the challenges ahead this year throughout the Betfred Championship season.”
