Danny Ward, returns to Leeds this weekend for the first time as London Broncos Head Coach .
Headingly Stadium, now Emerald Headingly, was home to Ward from 1999 to 2005 where he made 135 appearances for the club as it was too for club Captain Jay Pitts from 2010 to 2012.
This week Ward takes his London charges to the north to face his old side as the Broncos look to bounce back from their defeat away at St Helens.
Danny Ward told us, “It’s always nice going back to your old club and catching up with old friends. I played alongside Dave Furner back in 03 & 04. He was a fantastic player, the ultimate competitor & I am sure he’ll do a great job with Leeds. They are a good team with some quality individuals, another big challenge for the Broncos but one we are really looking forward to.”
Ward has named a strong Broncos squad that will be looking to bring the two points back to the capital.
