Dave Williams in the ‘Legends Lounge’
London Broncos are delighted to welcome Dave Williams into the ‘Legends Lounge’ for our upcoming home game against York Knights on Saturday, May 3rd.
The former prop is a London Rugby League legend after progressing through the then Harlequins RL academy into the first team before playing for both London Skolars and London Broncos.
Williams made his Super League debut in 2008 against Hull FC and would go on to play 29 times under Brian McDermott and Rob Powell. During this time he would spend time on loan at both Keighley Cougars and Featherstone Rovers before a move across the capital to London Skolars.
It was here where between 2010 and 2017 Williams would play more than 100 times in the Skolars black and red. There was also an opportunity to return to his boyhood club, now playing as London Broncos, as in 2015 Williams would join the club on loan.

Since retirement Williams has remained a fiercely loyal supporter of Rugby League in London and can be found supporting the Broncos from the terraces at most home games and now with his young family brings them to Plough Lane.
We look forward to welcoming Dave and his family to The Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Tickets for this can be purchased from the link below but must be purchased by Tuesday 29th.

On May 20th Dave will be cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Dave is raising money for Adam Donnelly’s memorial fund, Adam was his best friend growing up and was also a Rugby League player, he played for Greenwich Admirals and some games for the Broncos Foundation Academy.
Adam sadly died aged 17 in 2004 and since then the family have raised over £100,000 to help Cardiac Risk in the Young and reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death.

MATCH PREVIEW: Barrow Raiders vs London Broncos London Broncos have their longest away trip on UK soil this week as they make the trip up to Cumbria to take on Barrow Raiders. Broncos have lost their last two games and last three away games so will be looking to bounce back with a win on Good Friday. Mike Eccles’ side were a matter of seconds away from victory against Batley Bulldogs at The Cherry Red Records but suffered heartbreak as Alfie Dean scored in the final play to send the Bulldogs back to West Yorkshire with the points. Barrow have enjoyed a good start to the season and come into this game off the back of a good win at Widnes Vikings with a 37-12 win. It means in the early stages of the season after 6 games the Raiders have won 4 and currently sit in 4th place.
