On Saturday 23rd March in the Challenge Cup 6th round fixture at Warrington Wolves it was a landmark appearance as Marcus Stock made the 150th club appearance of his career.
Stock was the London Broncos Players Player of the Year in 2023 and has been a regular fixture in Mike Eccles side once again this season.
Speaking on his career to date Marcus said;
“Starting out at Sheffield Eagles in the academy and reserves for three years I was unable to break into the 1st team so I went down south to Hemel Stags whilst studying at uni and I really enjoyed my two years of experiencing a tough League 1 competition and the first taste of semi-professional Rugby League. These two years led to an offer from York Knights in the championship where I enjoyed another good few years including scoring a try at Wembley in the 1895 final.
“After a few years at York I decided to move down to London to be closer to home (Milton Keynes) and work and live in the capital. This led to probably my most enjoyable year to date including that netflix series worthy play-off run and winning the final in France!
“At 27 I had started to accept that the dream of playing Super League may never happen and even though we'd been promoted it definitely took a few weeks to set in.
“Although results haven't been going our way and we are doing it tough with injuries I've been loving the challenge of Super League and am really grateful for the opportunity and want to make the most of it!”
Marcus is sponsored by Hallmark Decorators for the 2024 season.
