DOUBLE HEADER: Broncos & Skolars to play on same day On Saturday March 1st we are in action in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup where we take on Dewsbury Rams. Although a home fixture, this will take place at the New River Stadium also known as New River Sport & Fitness, is the home of London Skolars Rugby League and has one main stand, which fronts White Hart Lane. Please note that tickets for this fixture must be bought online and paying on the gate is not an option. You will be able to purchase tickets online right up until the point of kick-off. To buy tickets click the link below. Prior to London Broncos vs Dewsbury Rams our hosts London Skolars will be playing a friendly with Eastern Rhinos which kicks off at 12.30pm. Fans are able to come along to watch both games with gates opening at midday.

WHO HAS PLAYED FOR BOTH: London Broncos & Dewsbury Rams There have only been 33 meetings between the two sides since 1980 which is relatively low in comparison to other long established professional clubs in the Rugby League pyramid. It’s a very favourable record for London who have won 23 of those meetings, including the last 11. But, how many players have played for both sides? Paul Sykes is the most obvious one. The 43-year-old was born in Dewsbury and is still playing for his home town club. Whilst after a stellar five years in London, Sykes also holds the accolade of being the clubs highest ever points scorer. Reiss Butterworth A short but sweet spell with the Broncos in the 2024 Super League season, Reiss played three times during a loan spell before returning to parent club Hull KR. Now playing for fellow Championship side Sheffield Eagles, Butterworth played for Dewsbury for three seasons between 2021 and 2023 and was named League One Player of the Year in his final season with the club. Robbie Storey The proud scorer of our first Super League try of the season in 2024 when he scored against St Helens. Storey would also score tries home and away against Hull FC before departing the club at the end of the season to move to Australia. Prior to moving to London, the Hull born centre had successful seasons at both Doncaster and Keighley. In 2021, after a year playing in France with Carcassone, Storey played 7 games for Dewsbury Rams.

HIGHLIGHTS: London Broncos 14-12 Featherstone Rovers London Broncos started their 2025 home campaign with two points after an outstanding defensive display against one of the top sides in the division. Liam Tindall with two tries on debut before Taylor Kerr (also on debut) scores the winning try late on. #WeAreLondon

POST MATCH: Liam Tindall's try scoring debut New signing Liam Tindall has admitted he's still learning his new teammates names after joining the London club on Tuesday. It was an outstanding start to life as a Bronco with two first-half tries contributing to an outstanding win for Mike Eccles' side. MATCH REPORT: London Broncos 14-12 Featherstone Rovers London Broncos started their 2025 home campaign with two points after an outstanding defensive display against one of the top sides in the division. Like Bradford Bulls, who Broncos faced in gameweek one, Featherstone are fancied to challenge at the top end of the Championship this season so was always going to provide a stern test for Mike Eccles side. Despite failing to pick up the win against the Bulls there would have been huge positivity taken from the performance that would give fans a degree of expectancy this afternoon which perhaps wasn’t there when the fixtures were announced. That expectancy took an almost immediate knock as Broncos spilled the ball from the kick-off and Featherstone instantly had a set in front of the Broncos try line. It was an unfortunate start to say the least as Thomas Lacans wriggled over to give the visitors the lead after no more than a couple of minutes. Callum Turner added the extras and it was 0-6.
