Iliess Macani reaches 100 career tries
On Friday April 5th Iliess Macani scored a try against Hull KR to reach a landmark moment in his career.
Macani’s try in the 58th minute was the 100th time he’d crossed the white line in his Rugby League career.
Starting out his career at London Broncos, Macani made his debut in 2013 and scored against St Helens.
Now 30 years old Macani is back at London Broncos, rejoining in 2022 following spells at Bradford Bulls, Sheffield Eagles & London Skolars.
In total Macani’s 100 tries read as;
Broncos - 63
Skolars - 19
Bradford Bull - 10
Sheffield Eagles - 8
Speaking to the official club website on his 100th try Macani said;
“Reaching the milestone of 100 career tries fills me with immense pride. Each try represents countless hours of training, teamwork, and unwavering dedication. From the adrenaline rush of crossing the try line to the camaraderie with my teammates, this achievement symbolises the culmination of years of hard work.
“As I reflect on the journey, I am grateful for the support of fans, coaches, and fellow players who have been part of this remarkable ride.”
