Hull KR vs London Broncos is a matchup which is the twelfth most frequent in Broncos history, with the fixture taking place 37 times in total. Out of these 37 fixtures, the Broncos have won 12 times, with KR taking home the other 25 wins. Hull KR have taken on London in all their forms (Fulham RLFC, Harlequins RL, and the London Broncos) and have played in various stadiums across the UK including Craven Cottage, Craven Park, Barnet Copthall, the Stoop, the Hive & Trailfinders. The largest winning streak which the Broncos have had against Hull KR is 6, coming between the years 1995-2008. The longest win streak which Hull KR have had against the Broncos is 9, coming between the years 1982-1995.

London’s biggest win against Hull KR at Craven Park came on the 12th of June, 2009 with a 10-40 victory in front of a crowd of 7,874. KR’s biggest Super League victory against London came on July 16th, 2014 with a 62-10 win at the Hive in front of a crowd of 1,084.

Looking back through the years of the Broncos taking on Hull KR, and looking at KR’s recent league finishes, there is no hiding away from the fact that this is going to be a difficult game for the Broncos, no matter the result. Although we have won our last 2 fixtures against Hull KR in 2019, KR have stayed consistently in the Super League and had an excellent 2023 campaign, finishing 4th in the league table. Additionally, KR have only lost once (vs Warrington Wolves, 7th March) since the 25th May 2023 at Craven Park. Therefore, the Broncos going up to Craven Park is going to be no easy task, and they are going to have to get straight into gear from the first whistle if they would stand a chance of coming away with any points.

Hull KR Breakdown

Hull Kingston Rovers were formed in 1882, as Kingston Amateurs, by a group of young workers in the shipping industry in West Hull. They played their first season in 1883/84.

1895 was a pivotal year for the club. Hull FC had taken a liking to the Boulevard ground, and offered to pay a higher rent than Rovers could afford. The historic decision was taken to buy the old Southcote’s ground on Craven Street, and the club has remained in East Hull ever since.

After a ten-year stay in the Super League (2007–2016), they were relegated from the Super League to the Championship in the 2016 season, after losing the Million Pound Game.

After winning the majority of their matches in the 2017 Championship season (19-1-3), Hull KR successfully gained automatic promotion back to the Super League, at the first time of asking and have been in the Super League ever since.

Mike Eccles previews 1895 Cup quarter-final L ondon Broncos Director of Rugby & Performance Mike Eccles believes Featherstone Rovers still represent one of the most dangerous sides in the Championship despite their poor start to the season. It is cup quarter-final this weekend in the 1895 Cup competition but Rovers are a side that currently sit towards the bottom end of the division that the two respective sides share. Despite Broncos coming into the game after a very solid start to the new season and having already beaten Featherstone this season, Eccles is very wary of the threat that Rovers hold especially as there has been a change in the head coach at Post Office Road since that win on February 23rd at The Cherry Red Records. Watch the full pre-match interview with Mike Eccles below. #WeAreLondon

We turn our attentions to the 1895 Cup and a place in the semi-finals is at stake when we head to Featherstone Rovers to take on Paul Cooke's side. The last time we were in the 1895 Cup we reached the semi-final stages of the competition and will be looking to go at least one step further on this occasion.
