Josh Rourke to join Wakefield Trinity
London Broncos can confirm that Josh Rourke will join Wakefield Trinity at the end of the 2024 Super League season.
Rourke was a standout performer for the Broncos, receiving plaudits across the division after scoring 7 tries in 7 games after making his debut in Round 17 against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
Josh suffered a cruel injury in pre-season, breaking his leg against Oldham but made a speedy recovery to feature heavily in the second half of the season and now moves on with our best wishes.
Speaking to London Broncos media, Rourke said; “I just want to thank everyone involved with the London Broncos for giving me an opportunity this year. I’ve really enjoyed my time in the capital, it’s been a tough year on the field but a fantastic & enjoyable experience, one I definitely won’t forget!
“I'd also like to thank all the fans for their support this year. Both home & away, the support has been incredible. Despite the result you’ve always supported the boys & the team. I’ll miss hearing you all chant my name!
“I’ll be supporting the club from afar & I look forward to seeing the re-build & hopefully it'll get back to where it belongs. It’s a fantastic club & I hope it can soon be back where it belongs.
Once a bronco, always a bronco #705"
