Lewis Bienek pledges future to London Broncos
London Broncos are delighted to announce that prop forward Lewis Bienek will be staying at the club for the 2025 season.
One of the most powerful props in Super League, we are naturally delighted to be able to secure the services of ‘One of our Own’ as we embark on a new era at the club.
Across two spells at London Broncos, the 26 year old has firmly established himself as a fans favourite and was named Coaches Player of The Year in 2023.
Speaking on the news, Bienek says he’s excited to carry on his journey with his boyhood club;
“I'm really happy to be staying with London next year, given the massive improvement the club has made to build our IMG rating, we have an exciting opportunity to build back to super league again.
“This is going to be a big transition year and we will need all the fans to get behind as again as they did last year. I have been in London many years now and there is nowhere else I would rather be.”
Along with Lewis Bienek, Mike Eccles has also announced that academy product Harry Stevens and Chairman’s Player of the Year for 2024 Marcus Stock will also be staying at the club.
“We have had to take stock of where we are at in terms of finances, what can we afford to put together? What money can we generate? That will determine what we can put on the field.
“There were three contracted players at the club, they were Marcus Stock, Harry Stevens and Lewis Bienek and we are delighted to announce that we can honour their contracts and that’s fantastic news for the club.
“We are also delighted to announce that there are upwards of ten players, who were with us last year, that we are in negotiations with. They are keen to stay and we are keen to have them.
“We’ve also opened negotiations with a series of other players as well, some players we are looking to bring back to the club, with London connections, which is still the way I want the thread of the team to be.
“It’s exciting times, things have started moving and we will have a lot more updates on that so hopefully that will all move very quickly.”
