For the last time in a while, welcome back to the Cherry Red Records stadium. We take a short break away from Wimbledon following this match as the pitch gets overturned and resurfaced. Hopefully, we can sign off with a strong performance and continue the home momentum we have a gathered with a solid performance against Salford and a victory against FC.
The match against FC was what I would deem as a proper London performance. For a team that was low on confidence and under increasing pressure without yet winning a game, to move the ball the way we did with the skill level and execution that we produced was fantastic to see.
Moving forwards to this week, we welcome a very strong Hull KR. I am a huge admirer of what they are doing both on and off the field. Hull KR have always been a great club, but what they are putting in place now puts them alongside the very best clubs in the competition. Good luck to them and the warmest of welcomes to our home here in Wimbledon. On the field they have a very hard-working team with a sprinkling of absolute X factor in Mikey Lewis and Tyrone May.
Regards us this week, we field an almost identical team to last time out. The only changes are Sam Davis and Iliess Macani come back into the 17 with Harvey Makin and James Meadows going the other way. Jimmy misses out with a calf twinge, meanwhile Harvey, has returned to Wigan. In positive news, I’m delighted to announce that both Ugo Tison and Jacob Jones have signed with us until the end of the season.
Enjoy the match and hopefully we can provide another exciting afternoon of entertainment.
Thanks for your support,
Mike
