Speaking ahead of our Round 10 clash on Friday, former Bronco Andy Ackers says "I’m really excited. They’re not far off their first win and they’ll be coming here all guns blazing. Some of our past performances haven’t been the best so they’ll be bright eyed and bushy tailed.

“They’re a well drilled team. Mike Eccles always has them in good condition which is important for him and important for London. They have struggled for the past few years but what an achievement getting into Super League.

“They’re not far off their first win but we’ll be coming out on Friday making sure that doesn’t happen”.

Also ahead of this Friday’s fixture, we caught up with Broncos Director of Rugby & Performance, Mike Eccles, who says “It’s another opportunity to respond and bounce back. This has been the message all year. We’ve been knocked down and we’re trying to pick the boys up & ourselves up every week.

“We are desperately disappointed with the way last week went but we use the word opportunity- it’s a great opportunity to play in a fantastic stadium against one of the biggest brands of clubs in the world so we’re just looking forward to getting out there.

"(Castleford) was a really tough one to take because we had prepared so well and we felt fantastic on the day, the energy was great but it unfolded the way it did and that is sport isn’t it.

“The process is still the same. There were a few bits in there that we’re happy with but there is a few points that we are desperately disappointed with and the boys have worked so hard this week on trying to fix those areas up and hopefully we can bring it together”.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s game, this is certainly a fantastic opportunity to go and play against one of the biggest names in sport and look to leave AMT Headingly Stadium a more improved side than we were last week!

GAMEWEEK: Featherstone Rovers vs London Broncos Off the back of another win at The Cherry Red Records on Saturday against Hunslet the Broncos move into cup action this weekend. We turn our attentions to the 1895 Cup and a place in the semi-finals is at stake when we head to Featherstone Rovers to take on Paul Cooke's side. The last time we were in the 1895 Cup we reached the semi-final stages of the competition and will be looking to go at least one step further on this occasion. Broncos have already faced Featherstone once this season and it was Mike Eccles side who took the win in a league game at Wimbledon. The last time Broncos played at Featherstone was in the semi-final of the play-offs in 2023 and it was the Broncos who picked up a shock win to progress to the final and ultimately seal promotion back to Super League. LONDON BRONCOS V HUNSLET (by David Ballheimer) London Broncos (16) 26, Hunslet (0) 6 London Broncos produced one of their most dominant defensive performances in recent memory as they beat Hunslet at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday night. Such was London’s control of the ruck that the Yorkshiremen had only one attack on the London line, and they turned over the ball-carrier before he could ground the ball. At the other end, Hunslet could not cope with the power and strength of London’s ball-carriers. The Broncos made a great start, scoring on their second possession, courtesy of Marcus Stock, who found a way through three tacklers before stretching over the line and grounding the ball. Most of the credit, however, belonged to Huw Worthington, who charged 35 metres downfield returning a kick. Four minutes later, Stock turned provider, turning in a tackle and sending Luke Polselli over. The half-back was able to run behind the posts to make Chris Hellec’s second conversion even easier than his first.
