Sam Davis to join Salford Red Devils


London Broncos can announce that Sam Davis will be joining Salford Red Devils at the end of the 2024 Super League season.


The move will see Sam’s second spell with the club come to an end after initially joining the academy in 2017. 


The 25 year old made his debut in 2018 against Barrow Raiders and would feature in both the Championship and Super League seasons before moving to York Knights in 2022.


Returning to the club, initially on loan, Sam would rejoin the club permanently in 2023 where he would play a pivotal role in the Championship winning season.


Sam would play 22 times and score three times in the 2024 Super League season and will now join up with Paul Rowley’s Salford for 2025.

Speaking to London Broncos media, Sam said his time in London has been memorable;


“This year has been a fantastic experience for me and one that I won’t forget anytime soon, the players and staff that I’ve shared the field with have all been amazing. After coming to London as a teenager the opportunity I was given will be something I am forever thankful for. 


“The fans have been Incredible throughout my time here but this year they have been special. Regardless of the result we’ve been backed the whole way. Thank you to everyone at the Broncos and I’d like to wish everyone the best of luck in the future.”


The club would like to thank Sam for his services and wish him all the best for the future.

Sam Winney joins Cornwall RLFC in Dual-Registration

Sam Winney joins Cornwall RLFC in Dual-Registration London Broncos are pleased to announce Sam Winney has joined Betfred League One side Cornwall RLFC on dual registration for the 2025 season. The 20-year-old prop forward is a first year professional with the club and will now gain invaluable experience with our new partners in Cornwall. The Irish International is yet to make his London Broncos debut but was named in the 21-man squad for the opening game of the season and has been handed the number 23 shirt this season. #WeAreLondon

London Broncos announce dual registration with Cornwall RLFC London Broncos are pleased to confirm the club has agreed a dual-registration partnership with Betfred League One club Cornwall RLFC for the 2025 season. The partnership will see players from London Broncos, in need of experience and gametime, the opportunity to feature regularly throughout the 2025 Betfred League 1 season. This will give the developmental players invaluable game time while pushing Southern Rugby League in the right direction.

Taylor Kerr joins from Wigan on loan

Taylor Kerr joins from Wigan on loan London Broncos can confirm Wigan youngster Taylor Kerr has joined the club on a two week loan deal. The loose forward played for Ince Rose Bridge, Orrell St James and Wigan St Judes at amateur level before he signed his first contract with Wigan in 2020. Kerr, who scored five tries in 13 appearances for the Academy in 2023, represented Lancashire in their Academy Origin Series win over Yorkshire in which he scored a try in the second clash in Hull. The forward made a positive start to the 2024 season as he scored twice in the Warriors victory over Midlands Hurricanes in pre-season. We thank Wigan for their cooperation in completing the deal. #WeAreLondon

London Broncos sign Liam Tindall London Broncos are delighted to announce the signing of 23-year-old winger Liam Tindall. The former Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC man was a free agent after leaving the Black & Whites at the end of the 2024 Super League season. Graduating from his hometown club, Tindall would play 21 times for the Rhinos whilst he also spent time on loan at both Doncaster and Bradford Bulls.

GAMEWEEK: London Broncos vs Featherstone Rovers London Broncos kickstart their 2025 season at The Cherry Red Records Stadium on Sunday, 23rd February as they take on Featherstone Rovers. It is the first game at home since the Super League clash with Leeds Rhinos when more than 4,000 fans watched on as the Broncos came agonisingly close to causing a major upset. The 2025 season started in Bradford and the Broncos put up a strong showing against the division favourites, leading at half-time. MATCH REPORT: Bradford Bulls 20-6 London Broncos The 2025 Betfred Championship season kicked off for London Broncos at Bradford Bulls Odsal Stadium. In what was a typically chilly February afternoon there were contrasting expectations on the respective teams seasons. For Mike Eccles’ Broncos there were just five players in the matchday squad who had featured in the 2024 season and only 4 who had played a league game. Whilst for Brian Noble’s hosts they had recruited heavily and their plan is to be in Super League as soon as 2025. Despite Jake Thewlis and Zac Bardsley-Rowe only joining up with the Broncos squad this week the pair went straight into the starting line-up alongside fellow teenager and loan player Kian McDermott. Meanwhile Lukas Mason was named as interchange. Alex Walker got things underway as he kicked things off and it quickly became apparent that this Broncos side were not intimidated by the task in front of them and matched the Bulls set for set. Connor O’Beirne and Luke Polselli were playing in the halves alongside one another for the first time but the Aussie connection was clear from the off as they carried a constant threat with the ball in hand. Polselli with his pace and O’Beirne’s kicking game gave plenty to think about for the Bulls defence. 13 minutes in and it was Broncos first to threaten the scoreboard as Luke Polselli tried the grubber but that nearly backfired as it was collected by Taufusi who then released Holmes who was inches away from racing the full length but a desperate Broncos tackle prevented the certain score. Just a couple of minutes later Chris Hellec - who was celebrating making his debut on his birthday - intercepted a Bulls attack 10 metres out and raced away. It always appeared he would likely be caught but he managed to get halfway before he was illegally stopped with a high tackle.
