Jacob is an all action second row who joined the club in 2017 before loan spells at Coventry Bears - which was the club he then joined on a permanent basis in 2019.

Re-joining Broncos in 2021 Jones enjoyed a fine season in the Championship scoring 5 tries in 20 games where he attracted the attention of Leigh Leopards, who he was to join in 2022.

Jones rejoined Broncos on loan for a third spell at the club in 2023 where he was part of the squad that achieved promotion back to the Super League

In 2024 Jones joined Broncos for a fourth time, again on loan, where he will remain for the season.
